The Sex Pistols – Anarchy in the UK

From the music video alone, I denote that the punk genre use a lot of the performance aspect in music videos as it shows the viewer the band, their appearance, and the emotions presented through their face when lip syncing/performing. It also illustrates how their audience act when they are listening to the band, the audience are seen in a mosh pit, jumping around. You can see for a few seconds that the demographic is violent as you can see one person jumping around holding his hands around another person's throat.

In The Sex Pistol's "Anarchy in the UK" there are some quite political lyrics, usually Punk genered songs would have this. The verse from "Anarchy in the UK" being;

“Is this the M.P.L.A, or is this the U.D.A, or is this the I.R.A.”

The lyrical content would be rebellious, create anarchy as suggested by the title of the song from the Sex Pistols, thought as a rejection of authority as well as traditional values. This, alongside the loud and distorted instrumental and musical style from the musicians i.e. the drummer, guitarist.

NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS - The Sex Pistols

This was a record made under highly unorthodox circumstances.

From the title of the album you can tell that it isn't aimed at people who may be middle aged, are parents or the elderly. It is the sort of sentence that a rebellious teenager would say, representing the demographic age of 16 to 21 year olds.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN - The Sex Pistols

This album got the band in a great deal of trouble as they de-faced the Queen, which is an offense. They made it look as though she is into the Punk Genre.

This connotes that the band are politically engaged, wanting to make people angry and upset over their style of music and how they go about marketing their music.
